Liposuction is a great solution to eliminate stubborn pockets of fat for women and men alike. Fat does not discriminate and both women and men face challenges trying to lose certain deposits of fat that just won’t seem to budge. The main differences between liposuction for men and women is where men and woman tend to store more fat, how a surgeon will sculpt different areas to create a more masculine or feminine physique, and which areas are most commonly treated for women vs men. The top three areas we perform lipo for women in Houston each year includes the abdomen, waist/hips, and outer thighs. Although, women tend to get lipo across more areas than men including the arms, inner thighs, and knees.

Abdomen Liposuction for Women

You may have guessed it, but the abdomen is by far one of the most common liposuction areas for women in Houston, with a particular interest in lipo 360. Whether it’s a genetic predisposition for belly fat, weight gain left over from previous pregnancies, or simply those last frustrating 5-15 lbs around the midsection that won’t seem to budge, lipo can reduce or eliminate this extra belly fat. We have seen countless fabulous results from abdomen liposuction for women of a wide variety of ages and shapes!

Waist/Hips Liposuction for Women

The second most common liposuction area we treat for women is the waist/hips (an area typically included in Lipo 360). Hormones play a big role in where women’s bodies store fat which tends to be around the waist, hips, and thighs. The fat deposits in this area are considered physiologically advantageous for pregnancy; however, for many women these stubborn pockets of fat are often unwanted from a cosmetic standpoint. Liposuction can reduce the waist/hips areas creating smoother lines and a more defined hourglass body shape.

Outer Thighs Liposuction for Women

Lastly, the third most common lipo area we treat for women at Houston Lipo Center is the outer thighs. As previously mentioned, women are predisposed to store fat around the hips and thighs. Because of this, outer and inner thigh fat can be some of the most difficult areas to reduce through diet and exercise alone. Thigh lipo is an efficient solution to quickly remove stubborn thigh fat and help achieve more shapely, sculpted legs.
